TheIHOpublicationLimitsofoceansandseasproposed,asdescribedinthe
text,andshowninthethreeaccompanyingdiagrams,havebeendrawnupsolelyfor
theconvenienceofNationalHydrographicOfficeswhencompilingtheirSailingDi-
rections,NoticestoMariners,etcitoensurethatallsuchpublicationsheadedwith
thenameofanOceanorSeawilldealwiththesamearea,andtheyarenottobe
regardedasrepresentingtheresultoffullgeographicstudy;thebathymetricresults
ofvariousoceanographicexpeditionshavehoweverbeentakenintoconsideration
sofaraspossible,anditisthereforehopedthatthesedelimitationswillalsoprove
