Summary:Riskisoneofthemostimportantfactorsinfluencinginfrastructureinvestment
projectsuccessorfailure.Thekeytoproperriskmanagementininfrastructureprojectisrisk
allocationinaccordancetotheprinciplethatbestfittedthepartywhichacceptsit.Standard
FIDICcontractrulesdealefficientlywiththedivisionofconstructionrelatedrisk,however,
ininfrastructureprojecttherearemanyotherrisksbeyondFIDICscope.Itisarguedinthe
articlethattheriskshouldbealsoaccountedforandapropermethodofitsallocationought
tobedevisedatthetimethecontractissigned.Thepartiesofthecontractshouldalways
transfertheriskontheoptimalresultsbasis.Inthenextpartofthepaperthereisacareful
