Theaboveexamplesshowalgorithmsandtechnologiesusedtosolvespecific
challengesposedbythedevelopmentoftechnology.However,thisbookincludes
alsochaptersfocusonmethodsofmoregeneralapplications,suchasthepattern
recognitionalgorithms.TheensembleclassificationmethodspresentedinArchi-
tectureofDependency-NoiseEnsembleforstatistic-baseddiversificationofmultiple
classifiersystems(chapter5)andAnovelapproachtolearninganddesigning
neuralnetworks-basedensemble(chapter7)focusonvariousapproachestoensure
thediversificationofweaklearnersintheclassifierspoolarecharacterizedbyhigh
eńectivenessbothonsyntheticandrealdataproblems.
Ahighsignal-to-noiseratiomostoftencharacterizesrealprocessingenviron-
ments.Therefore,forpracticalapplications,optimalmodelingshouldbecharac-
terizedbyhighimmunitytosignaldisturbances.Suchsolutionsareproposedby
theworkModelofactivenoisereductionsystemwithadaptivefilteringalgorithms
appliedtoautomotive(chapter6).Theauthorsanalyzeadaptivefilterstodealwith
thenoisegeneratedbyacarengine.Amoreabstract,universalapproachisproposed
bySchurParametrizationandOrthogonalModelingofP-StationarySecond-Order
StochasticProcesses(chapter1),dedicatedtoprocessesthatoriginallyhavenon-
stationarycharacteristics.
ThiscollectionincludesalsoworksonthesubjectofSoftwarePerformance
EngineeringappearsinaworktryingtogeneratePalladioComponentModelson
thebasisofstandardPIMandPSMwithperformanceannotation.Anotherimportant
aspectbeingunderscopeofanalysispresentedherebyJarema(chapter9)isthe
modelingthedynamicsofopinionadaptingthestatisticalphysicsapproachleadingto
thepropositionwhichdescribesallinteractionsinthesystemdescribinginteractions
betweenagents.
