Theaimofthestudyistheanalysisofe-learningtoolseffectivenessaswell
aswaysofe-proficiencyacquisitionbyhighereducationalestablishmentsEnglish
teachingstaff.Thetasksaretodefineanddistinguishthee-learningmodelsand
techniquesforESPteachingundermodernconditionsofsocietydevelopment,to
describetheresultsofe-learningtechniquesimplementationinteachingEnglishto
non-linguisticmajorhigherschoolstudents.
Differentlearningmodestomeetstudents/staffeducationalneeds
Oneoftheaimsoflearningforeignlanguagesistohelpstudentsdevelopgen-
eralandprofessionalcommunicativelanguagecompetencesforeffectivecommu-
nicationinanacademicandprofessionalsphere.Itisobviousthattobecomean
effectivecommunicatoritisrequiredtocreatecertainreallifesituationsanden-
vironment.Inordertoachievethisaimitisnecessarytoinvolvestudentsindis-
cussionsandvariousproblemsolvingtasks.Thebestwaytodoitistousethe
mostpowerfulstudentslearningtoolthecomputer,sincee-learningisnotonly
amoderntechnologybutalsoanintegralpartofstudents’life.So,itcanbeusedas
alearningtool.Therearemanyprosandconsofusinge-learningmodelsinteach-
ingEnglish,inparticularEnglishforSpecificPurposes(ESP).Themainadvantag-
esofthismodearethepossibilityofadirect/personalcontactwithateachervia
internetatanytime,studyatconvenienttimeandplace,haveaself-assessmentop-
tionnexttoreducedcostsofeducationandothers.Thedisadvantagesmaycom-
prisevariousissuesrelatedtocomputer-mediatedcommunicationinreallifeboth
forstudentsandteachers,inparticular,Englishlanguageteachers,issuesrelated
tocreatingtheadequatecontentfore-learning,problemsinvolvingblendedlearn-
ingintheteachingprocess,shortageoftimeandfacilitiestoimplemente-learning
techniquesinclassesandsoon.Butonethingisclear:thee-learninghasbecome
aninseparablepartofmoderneducation.
Accordingly,thefollowingmodesoflearningaresingledout:traditional,
e-learning,blendedanddistancelearning.Letusfocusone-learning.Itisbelieved
thate-learningisbasedontheinternetandmultimedia,inotherwords,onmodern
informationcommunicationtechnologies.Theinformationcommunicationtech-
nologies(ICT)domaindeterminesdifferentfacilities,mechanisms,methodsand
