personsinLublinreceivedtheinformationaboutJózefPiłsudski’s
returnfromMagdeburg.Allthedoubtsdisappearedwhenthecurrier
ofthePolishMilitaryOrganizationarrivedwiththesamenews,the
immediateconsequencewastheorderofŚmigły,accordingtowhich
MiedzińskihadtoleaveforWarsawandmeettheCommander95.
TheadjutantofthePolishMilitaryOrganizationfoundPiłsudski
inhisformerconspiratorialapartmentin2MoniuszkiStreet.As
herecalledlater,thejoyofthecommander’sreturnimmediately
disappeared.Miedzińskididnotexpectsuchatone.Hewasastonished
bythefactthathewasnotinvitedtotable,whilePiłsudskiand
KazimierzSosnkowskiwerehavingtheirbreakfast.Afterhismeal,
Piłsudskistartedwiththeaccusations:uwhathaveyoudone,youhave
tiedupmyhands”and,accordingtoMiedziński,calmeddownonly
whenwasassuredthatŚmigłyhadthewholecontroloverthearmy,
whilethegovernmentofDaszyńskiwasathisdisposal96.Moreover,it
isknownthatRydzwastreatedevenworsebyPiłsudski97.
Inmanyyears,BogusławMiedzińskiwrotethatthePolishMilitary
Organizationproveditsefficiencyintheorganizationofthesociety,but
atthesametimecompletelydepartedofPiłsudski’spoliticalconcepts,
makingimpossibleforhimtocometoagreementwiththeright-wing
parties98.Itcannotbedenied,aslongasaccordingtotheright-wing
politicianssuchagreementcouldnotbereached99.Accordingtoanother
witnessofthesepoliticalevents,thereasonsofPiłsudski’sactionsshould
betracedinhispersonaltraits.uOnNovember11,Piłsudskibecame
aregent,thefirstconsulandwasfedupwiththejoyfulactivityofhis
comrades,who,asitturnedout,didnotunderstandhimcompletely,and
theirhelpinthestrengtheningofthepowerwasnotonlyunnecessary,
butclearlyharmful.Theauthorityhereceivedfromtheprincesand
archbishopsheconsideredmoreimportantthanthatofferedbyRydzs,
Kocs,Miedzińskis,Hołówkos,JędrzejewiczsetuttiquantiłSohe
