fullofcrucialchanges.Onthatday,JózefPiłsudskiovertookthe
authorityoftheRegencyCouncilandappointedIgnacyDaszyński
tothepostofprimeminister.Duetotheprotestsoftheright-wing
parties(18XI)heappointedthegovernmentofJędrzejMoraczewski.
Miedzińskiremainedinthedisposalofthecommander.The
CommanderinChiefofthePolishArmyissuedtheorderconcerning
thefirstofficialassignmentintheindependentPolandofcaptainŚwitek.
RemainingunderthecommandofEdwardŚmigły-Rydzhehadtocarry
outthefunctionsoftheofficerforspecialordersinLublinDistrict
GeneralCommand.Thereistheleastinformationaboutthisperiod
ofMiedziński’smilitarycareeranditcanbeassumedthathisduties
didnotdiffermuchfromthefunctionsonthepositionofthePolish
MilitaryOrganizationadjutant.Takingintoconsiderationthefactthat
hehadbeencarryingoutthesefunctionforlessthantwoweeks,itcan
beassumedthattherewasnotmoreseriousroleforhim.
OnNovember29,1918,BogusławMiedzińskiwasorderedto
immediatelyappearinBelweder.Onthefollowingday,hehadaface-to-
facetalkwithPiłsudski,atwhichheraisedanumberofissuesofpolitical
nature.However,Miedzińskicouldnotunderstandtheintentionsofthe
commanderinchief.EverythingbecameclearwhenonDecember1,
1918,Miedzińskiwasorderedtoheadtheservice,which,accordingto
theideaoftheheadofthestatehadtobecomeapartoftheoffensive
intelligenceandstruggleagainsttheforeignservicesontheterritoryof
Poland.Officially,BogusławMiedzińskicarriedoutthefunctionsofthe
politicalreferentoftheKielceDistrictGeneralHeadquarters,headedby
GeneralWacławIwaszkiewicz,later–byGeneralBolesławOlszewski.
Thedayofhisnominationisquiteimportant,becauseinBogusław
Miedziński’scaseitopenedtheperiodofhisactivityinthemilitary
service,definedasintelligence,informationandspecial.Hismaintask
