Theproposedtomographicsolutionconsistsofasetofsensors(devices)and
softwaretovisualizeandanalysedata[152].Thesystemdesigninvolvestechnolo-
giessuchastheInternetofThings,BigDataandMachineLearning.Thehardware
solutionsenablewirelessdatatransfertoCloudComputingusingtheMQTTproto-
col(MessageQueuingTelemetryTransport).

Thesemethodshavebeenusedtocreateaprototypeofthedistributedsys-
tem.Thebasicintentionwastobuildanapplicationthatgathersdatafromdevices,
preservesandanalysethem,andgeneratesvisualizations.Inaddition,theapplica-
tionshouldbeabletomonitorthestatusofthetomographicdevice.Thesolution
wasdescribedbythetermCyber-PhysicalSystems(CPS).Thisisaphysicaland
engineeredsystem,theoperationsofwhicharemonitored,coordinated,controlled
andintegratedbyacomputingandcommunicationcore.CPSbringstogetherthe
discreteandpowerfullogicofcomputinginordertomonitorandcontrolthecon-
