non-branchingonsetsandrhymes,forinstance.ThisisduetotheDe-
sano-specificparameterconcerningconstituentstructuredisallowing
constituentbranching.Inthefollowingsections,suchsystem-specific
parameterswillbedeterminedforEnglishandVilamovian.Itissig-
nificantthatthephonologicalconstituentsareprojectedintermsof
thegoverningrelationsthatarecontractedbetweenadjacentskeletal
