a)Theintendedvoyageshallbeplannedinadvancetakingintoconsider-
ationallpertinentinformationandanycourselaiddownshallbe
checkedbeforethevoyagecommencesi
b)Duringthewatchthecoursesteered,positionandspeedshallbe
checkedatsufficientlyfrequentintervals,usinganyavailablenaviga-
tionalaidsnecessary,toensurethattheshipfollowstheplanned

c)Theofficerofthewatchshallhavefullknowledgeofthelocationand
operationofallsafetyandnavigationalequipmentonboardtheship
andshallbeawareandtakeaccountoftheoperatinglimitationsofsuch
