gressingsystematicallysince2004,theliberalizationoflegalregulations
regardingtheaccessofimmigrantstothePolishlabormarketalsocov-
eredUkrainiancitizens.
ImmigrationofUkrainiancitizenstoPolandismotivatedbythedesire
totakeupemployment.Asaresult,theimmigrantpopulationhasasig-
nificantimpactonthelabormarketinPoland.Thepossibilityforthird-
countrynationalstonenter”thelocallabormarketisstrictlyregulated
bylaw.Thelegislatoralsoreservedthepossibilityoflimitingtheinfluxof
peoplewhosepresenceislessdesirableduetothenatureoftheirwork,
butitassumesthecreationoffacilitiesandincentivesforimmigrants
whoperformdeficitprofessionsonthePolishmarket.
DuetothefactthatthePolishemploymentsystemisonlyjustopening
uptoforeignerscomingtoPoland,immigrantsofenneedhelptofind
themselvesinanewenvironment,ofendiscriminatory.Foreignersbe-
comevictimsoftheexploitationandfraudoftheimmigrationindustry
thathasdevelopedrapidlyinPoland.ThepriorityforUkrainiansinPo-
landistofindajobandlegalizetheirstay.Ignoranceoflocallaw,insuf-
cienteducation,youngageorstrongdeterminationtoleavethecountry
oforiginmeanthatUkrainiancitizensofenunderestimatethethreats
ofadaptingtoaforeignlabormarket.Inaddition,Polishentrepreneurs
ofentakeadvantageofthissituationandexploitforeigners.

ThestructureofthePolishlabormarketandthelegalandinstitutionalso-
lutionsdevelopedsofarsupportformsofshort-termemploymentoffor-
eigners.TakingintoaccountthelowfertilityrateinPoland,thedecrease
inthenumberofpeopleinworkingageorthehighlevelofemigration
untilrecently,encouragingimmigrantfamiliestosettleinPolandcould
contributetomaintainingthereplacementofgenerations.Accordingto
