alystofsociety.Thepeculiaritiesofthehumansci-
tostudythecomplexanddiverseandoftentoaconsider-
ableextentsocialandculturalfactorsdetermininghumans
inordertounderstandtheirwayofbeingintheworld,aworld
theyatthesametimefindpre-existingandremake.Ahuman
constantlyperformsdualroles:simultaneouslyacreatorand
aconsumerofthisworld,ajudgeandaperpetrator,anobserv-
erandanactingsubject.Insocialanalyses,boththeresearcher
andtheresearchedbringintotheendeavourtheirphysicali-
tyapartfromtheirspirituality,materialconditionsapartfrom
culturalconditioning,rationalelementsapartfromemotion-
alones,theirhistoryandvisionofthefuture.Inmanyways,
thisposesamethodologicalchallenge,intensifiedespeciallyby
theblurringofthelinebetweentheworldofthestudiedob-
jectandthatoftheknowingsubject.Thisproblemisabsent
inbothexactandnaturalsciences,whoselanguagesdescribe
worldsdistinctfromthesocialhistoryoftheresearcherorthe
studiedobject.Thehistoryofdevelopmentofthosesciencesre-
mainsentirelyautonomousfromtheircurrentcontentthe
knowledgewithinthosedisciplinescanbeseparatedfromthe
knowledgeaboutandanalysisofpastresearchwithoutany
harmtothecurrentstateoftheart;exactandnaturalsci-
encescanbesafelypracticedwithoutunderstandingthesocial
