Withtime,theyoungactivists,ledbyThon,Ehrenpreis,andBraude,

wereuncomfortablewiththeassociationandwantedtochangeitintoan

organizationwhichwouldexpressmorestronglytheirnationalaspirations.

TheyfeltthatEuropeanculturewasopenforthem,butdidnotwantto

resigntheirJewishcultureandwantedtointensifythenationalelementin

theirJewishidentity.Therefore,theydecidedtoestablishanewassociation,

andthatishowZioncameintolifein1888.Then,theydidnotknow,

asEhrenpreiswrote,thattheywereoneofthefirsttostarttheZionist
