Summary:Tearticlepresentstheimportanceofstatesecurity,educationforsecurityandthehisto-
ryofeducationforsecurity.Teprogramsimplementedintheeducationprocessandeducationof
youngpeopleandthewholesocietymayhaveasignificantinfluenceonthestatesecurityaswellas
itsdefense.However,oneofthefundamentalgoalsofthiseducationistopreparepeopleforrational
behaviorduringsocial,civilizationalormilitarythreats,aswellastoactivelyparticipateindefense
undertakingsthatareimplementedbysocialorganizations,localself-governmentorstateadmini-
stration.Tearticleaimstoshowthatproperandwellthought-outeducationpolicymanagementis
veryimportantnotonlyeducationalandculturalbutinthefuturemayinfluencenotonlythestate’s
defensivebutalsoeconomicoreconomicpotential.

Introduction
Fromtheverybeginningofhumanexistence,securitywasthemostimportant
needofeveryhumanbeing.Initially,itreferredonlytomilitarysignificanceand
wasusuallyequatedwitharmedforce.However,newchallenges,suchas,inter
alia,civilizationalandtechnologicaladvanceshaveextendedtheimportanceof
securitytoothernon-militaryaspectsaswell.Duetothedynamicsofchangesin
security,moreeducationshouldbedevotedtothisissue,especiallythateducation
ofchildrenandyouthisaconstitutivetaskofeverysociety.Onthislevelthere
areinseparable,mutualrelationsandconnectionswithmanyotherareasofsocial
life.Startingfromshapingdesirableattitudesandviewsservingthedevelopment
ofeveryindividualandsocietyasawhole,toshapinganddevelopinghistorical
andnationalconsciousness,internationalawarenessaswellasproperpatriotic
attitudes.Educationimprovesanddevelopsawarenessofsocialdutytowardsother
people,thenation,thestate.Itisintheareaofsecuritythattheproblemsarenot
onlyecological,social,economicorpolitical,military,butmanyothersinwhich
societyshouldbeeducated.Itisthankstosecurityandeducationforsecuritythat
harmoniousdevelopment,progressandfulfillmentofaspirationsnotonlyofin-
dividualunits,butalsoofsocietiesandstates.Becausethescopeofthesubjectof
safetyandeducationforsafetyisveryextensive,thearticlecontainsonlyselected
aspectsinthisfield.
