Abstract:Tearticlepresentstheresearchresultsofacomponentofthereferenceelectronic
informationresources(EIR),inparticular,electronicencyclopedias.Electronicencyclopediatypes
havebeenpresentedasaninformationresource.Tedistributionofelectronicencyclopediasare
consideredaccordingtothesubstantialpeculiarities:properties,typology,methodofcreation,
formationandstoragetechnologies.Teuseofthescientificelectronicencyclopediaclassification
accordingtoitsstructureandtypesisperspective.Tepurposeofthearticleistopresenttheresults
oftheresearchandliteratureontheelectronicinformationresources(EIR):Ukrainianelectronic
encyclopedias.Teimplementationofthecharacteristicsoftheirtypes,structure,composition
andclassification;technologyofcreation,formationandpreservation,aswellasrecommenda-
tionsoftheuseoftheresearchresultsintheestablishmentofascientificsystemofUkrainian
electronicencyclopedias.
InmodernconditionsofEuropeanintegration,Ukraineisfacedwiththedif-
culttasktopreparetheelectronicencyclopediaeditionsofthenewgeneration
forthedisseminationofscientificknowledge,itssystematization,adetailed
restructuringoftheUkrainiannationalinformationspace,aswellasthestudy
andanalysisoftheadvantagesanddisadvantagesoftheexistingUkrainianelec-
tronicencyclopedias.
Nowadays,communicativestrategiesofthemodernmediaarecharacterized
bytheincreasedroleofinformationandknowledgeinhumanlife,increased
partofinformationcommunications,informationproductsandservices,the
creationoftheglobalinformationspaceprovidingefcienthumaninformation
interaction,theiraccesstoworldinformationresourcesandsatisfactionoftheir
socialandpersonalneedsforinformationproductsandservices.Tetransfer
totheinformationsocietyisaccompaniedbyagrowingflowofinformation,the
transmissionofthemainarrayofinformationontheelectronicmedia,increase
oftherequirementstothecompleteness,efciencyofinformationprovidedto
theusers,theaccesstothisinformationfromanyplaceatanytime.Information
studyactivelymovesintothenewinformationandcommunicationenviron-
ment.Underthesecircumstances,electronicresourceshavebecometheobjects
ofinformationtechnologies,aswellasproductsofinformationalactivity.
