sourcesofinformation.Butitisanarrayofinformationwhichgivestheoppor-
tunitytoitsquicksearchintheInternetspace.SelectedentriesoftheUkrainian
Internet-encyclopediaareconstantlyadjusted,whichmakestheinformation
availabletothewholeUkrainiancommunity.
Aninterestingexampleofthematicencyclopediaswillbetheencyclopedia
oftheUkrainianCossacks.TeScientific-researchInstituteoftheUkrainian
CossacksofZaporizhzhyaStateUniversityhascreatedanelectronicencyclo-
pediaoftheUkrainianCossackswhichisthereferencesystem,designedforthe
scientificandeducationalworkinthefieldofhistoryandUkrainianstudies.Tis
encyclopediacontains1276articles,739illustrations,77thematichistoricalmaps
and130mapschemes.Teelectronicencyclopediaiscontinuouslysupplemented
withnewmaterials,updatedanddeveloped.Itcombinesthepropertiesofrefer-
encesystem,guestbook,e-mailconference,whichalsoindicatesasomewhatdif-
ferentpatternfromtraditionalencyclopedia.Teencyclopediasearchsystemisa
setofdirectories(bibliography,mapcatalogueandillustrationscatalogue)which
allowstosearchforthematerialaccordingtothealphabet,keywordortopic.
RegionalencyclopediauWeb-encyclopediaofKyiv”includesarticlesabout
everythingthatconcernsthecityofKievoritshistory.Referencepageincludes
therulesoftheencyclopediastructureimprovement,themethodofarticlessub-
mission,editing,etc.Teinformationsearchservicesprovideresultsaccording
tothetitleofthearticle(alphabeticalorder),topic,keywords,thereisacomplete
directoryandalistofnewarticles.Althoughthesystematizationofthebasic
conceptsoftheencyclopediashouldhavemuchbetterstructuringandsubordi-
nationtothemaindivisions,thereferencesystemisintendedforthescientific,
trainingandeducationalworkonthehistoryandKievpresenttime.
So,atthecurrentstage,whichcanbedescribedasthe«primitiveaccumula-
tion»ofencyclopediainformationintheUkrainiansegmentoftheInternet,the
lowdegreeoftheresourcesdińerentiation(orlackofit)accordingtothepurpose,
reader/useraudienceforwhichtheyaredesignedisanoticeabledrawback.Hav-
ingconsideredanumberofmodernelectronicencyclopediaswecanstatethat,
toalargeextent,theyareanonymous,compiled,withdińerentstylesandgenres,
oftenmobilebythecontent.Teirsourcesandaccuracyofthefactsaredoubtful.
Inaddition,abasicfeatureoftheworkwithelectronicinformationresources
liesinthefactthattheuseroftenhastododealnotwiththecompleteprinted
productortheinformationInternet-productpresentedintheelectronicform
ofencyclopediabutonlywiththenecessaryfragment.Tereaderusuallydoes
nothavethepossibilitytoassessthescientific-methodicallevelanddirection
oftheusedelectronicresources,understandtheplaceofaparticulartext,and
determineitsorigin.Teabsenceoftargetingcomplicatestheuseofelectronic
informationbydińerentcategoriesoftheusers.Evenmoredifcultisthecase
