wedoinourlocalworlds.
Secondly,inconsequenceoftheinitialdecisions,ourtextformatsarevaried.

readersbackgroundknowledgeoninterculturalcommunicationandintercultural
competencedevelopment.PartII,Practice(Chapters513),includesReadings
inUkrainianCulture,writtenandcompiledbyUkrainianacademicteachers
(Chapters59)andProjectsinPolishCulture,writtenbyPolishandinternational
graduatestudents(Chapters1013).
Thisvolumecanbeviewedasprovidingasnapshotofvariousaspectsoflife
inbothcountries.Albeitsubjective,thebookreflectsthediscreteperspectivesof
theindividualauthorsasitprovidesthereaderwithanoverviewofthethemes
relevanttothecitizensofUkraineandPolandlivingatthebeginningofthe21st
century.Thecollectionofthesechaptersbearstestimonytothehistoricalmoment
capturedinthetexts,topicsandissuesfoundonthepagesofthisvolume.
Also,theparticularjuxtapositionofthenationsandtheirculturesofferedhere
opensanewperspectiveofunderstandingUkrainianandPolishmindsets.What
