awell-trainedprofessional,guidedbyavisionofhisorherpedagogicalactivity,
capableofrespondingtovariationsinlocalandglobalcontexts,opentodialogue,
andabletodeveloppositiveattitudestowardsthecommunity,withstudentswho
constructknowledgeandarecapableofcreativethinking,criticalthinking,and
theirownreflectivework—sincetheteacherunderstandsthevalueofachild’s
learningandpersonalinvolvementinitandinspiresstudentinterestaswellas
theneedforcontinuouslearning(Bałachowicz&Adamek,2017,p.210).Tisis
achallengenotonlyforacademicsbutalsofortheentireeducationalcommu-
nity.Wearestillstrugglingwiththedominanceofabehavioralschoolmodel
basedonknowledgetransmission,authoritarianandhierarchicalrelationships,
arbitrarygoalsandeńects,alackoftrust,frequentlyalackofpedagogicalambi-
tion,andescapefromlong-termaction.Itisthereforenecessaryandreasonable
toconsiderchangingthesituationandtoconsiderideasforthetransformationof
future(educated)teachersinthecontextofboththeoreticalandpracticalactivi-
tiesundertakenindińerentcountries.

Teconceptoftheprofessionaldevelopmentofpreschoolandearlychildhood
teachersrequiresconstantanalysisandmodification.Changingsocioeconomic
conditionshaveledtothenecessitytoundertakeneweńortstoadequatelypre-
parecandidatesfortheteachingprofession,takingintoaccounttheneedsof
youngpeopleinachangingworld.Terearestillinitiatorsofschoolandeduca-
tionreform,teacherswhowishtochangethestill-dominanttraditionalschool
modelinordertochangeschoolculture.Wesupporttheviewthatsystemic
changerequiresbottom-upreform,includingsocialawarenessofthenecessary
transformationanddeepreflectiononwhetherproposedmodificationstakethe
formofrealisticchange,orareashambecausetheyareunmanageablewithin
acertaintimeframe.Temuchbroadercontextofdeliberationsthusrequiresus
tobeawarebothofwhatweareabletochangeintheprocessofeducatingfuture
teachersandwhatcannotbechangedintheperspectiveofseveralyearsofprepa-
rationduringformalstudies.Tisraisesfurtherquestionsabouthowtoimprove
theprofessionalworkofteachersandorganizetheirprofessionaldevelopment.
