Throughpreviousfieldworkandcollationamongthedifferentresearcherssam-
plesofthecommonheritagearebeingselectedthroughthestudyofthedocu-
mentation,bibliography,instruments,dancesandsongs.
InExtremadura,sometimesthestartingpointisthefieldworkandtheethno-
graphicaldescriptionofthedifferentfestivalsonbothsidesoftheocean,while
onotheroccasionsvisitsaremadedirectlytoarchiveswheredocumentsand
musicalscoresareconsultedthatmakeitpossibletounderstandthestructure
andfunctioningoftheIberianandEuropeanchurchchoirsandtheirsignificance
inLatinAmerica.
Theparticipantsworkintheirownuniversityclassroomsonthethemeunder
study,whichhasbeenpreviouslydevelopedintheirresearch,withtheinvolve-
mentofthestudents.Therearealsoavarietyofworkshopsinsidetheuniversity
classroomsandelsewheretostudytheheritageinsitu.
