byrecognizingtheseparatecomponentelementsbymeansofadditional
plasticeffects.
ThemanifestationoftheOpenFormwillbethereforethe
discerniblenessoftheindividualinthemultiple,andthediscernibleness
ofthenumber.Inhousingweshallhaveapolemicofviewpointsonthe
creationofone’sownsurroundings,characterizedbyanappropriate
“background.”Insocialpostulated,thesewillbeseparateevents:people,
circumstances,andsoon.
TheOpenFormdiffersfromtheClosedFormbyrecognizing
concretepeople—nottheabstractso-called“average”—byleaving
amarginforevokingone’sownlatentessence.Itisanindividual-
collectivephenomenonand,becauseofthat,multi-stratifiedandalive.
Theproblemandscopeofthepermeationofsubjectiveand
objectiveelementsdependsuponthetraitsandneedsofthegroup
(community).Anenormousroleisplayedbythedistributionofmaterial
means,thelivingstandardofsociety,theaccessiblematerialbaseand
thepsychologicalelements.
Byrecognizingtheveryextensivesubstance,weenteruponthe
fieldofnewaestheticsinarchitecture—theaestheticsoftheOpenForm.

ThewealthofOpenForminarchitectureaswellasitsdevelopment
willdependonthepolemicsofthevariouscomponentparts,
comprehendedasvariousindividualities,playingtheleadingroleinits
substance,servingeachtenantindividually,andnotdefinedbeforehand
initsmanifestation.
TheClosedFormhascreatedaestheticsforitsownuse.TheOpen
Form—theartofevents—willalsolookforitsownmethodsofstudy,its
ownmeansofexpression,itsownaesthetics.TheOpenForm,beingthe
formofthesumofevents—ofthesumofindividualitiesofagivengroup
—shouldinconsequenceleadustotheexpressionofagroupform.
