Inordertodotheresearch,across-borderroadaccidentvictimprotection
systemhasbeendividedintoparts,but-asinthecaseofeverysystem-its
essenceisnoticeablewhenconsideringitasawhole.Interdependenceofthe
subsystemscreatescharacteristicfeaturesonlyforthesystemasawhole,as
thesystemisacomplexofelementsthatareinmutualinteraction(oraset
ofelements)andtherelationshipsbetweenthem12.mesystemsubjectto
analysisconsistsofelementsthatcanconstituteaseparatesysteminagiven
contextofresearch,calledsubsystem.
Oneshouldalsobearinmindthat,likeeverysystem,alsotheexamined
systemisafragmentofreality.Itsseparationleadstothedivisionofreality
intotwosystems:across-borderroadaccidentvictimprotectionsystemand

theonethatisincontactwiththeenvironmentthroughspecific“inputs”and
“outputs”

theresearch,focusingonthehumanfactor,whichisevidenteveninstudies
ofroadsafety,wherefarlessattentionwasdevotedtoso-called“engineering”
determinants(independentofthebehaviourofroadtramcuser).
