tourismdevelopment
StrategictourismdevelopmentintheEuropeanUnionandrisingitscompetitivenessin
theglobalmarketconstitutedacornerstoneforcreationofcommonactionframesfor
allmemberstateswithregardtocreationofEuropeantourismpolicy.Incommunica-
tionfromtheEuropeanCommissionfrom2006“ArenewedEUTourismPolicy:To-
wardsastrongerpartnershipforEuropeanTourism”isdiscussed(COM(2006)134).
Inthisdocumentspecialattentionwasorientedtowardsupportingtourismenterprises)
competitivenessandcreationofconditionsfortheirdevelopment.Anotherimportant
pointwassupportingcooperationbetweenmemberstatesthroughexchangeofbest
practices.TecommonpolicyfordevelopmentoftheEuropeantourismsectorhas
beenencompassedinthemostimportantstrategicdocumentsoftheEuropeanUnion.
Teyconstitutethebasicformalframesforpracticalactionsoneachandeverylevel
oftourismmanagementinUEmemberstates,takingintoconsiderationtheircultural
specificity,organizationaldińerentiation,potentialandcompetencies.
1.1.TourismintheEurope2020strategy
On26March2010,theEuropeanCouncilagreedonthekeyelementsofthenew
strategynamedEurope2020-Astrategyforsmart,sustainableandinclusivegrowth.
TerulesofthenewstrategysumuptheEuropeanmodelofsocialmarketeconomy
withastrongenvironmentaldimension.Testrategyelementswereformally
adoptedon17June2010.
TestrategyofUEdevelopmentcovers5agreedstrategicgoals:investment
inR&D,education,energy-climatechange,employmentrateandreductionof
povertyandsocialexclusion.Alltargetsshouldrefertogrowth,employmentand
