Therearefourpossibleflstrategies”fortheembodiementoftheyetdis-
tantvisionofdemocraticandhumanisticeducation.Thesemodelsofchange
maybelabelledassteeredepidemic,difussion,inductionchangeandsys-
tematiccooperationchange.
Afteracriticalanalysistheonlyrealisticmodelremainsthelaststrategy,
thatofsystematiccooperation.Thisisduetotheconditionsofviolentdis-
ruptionwithineducation’ssocialsurroundingandtheconflictbetweenthe
necessarilymajorpartnersinanycooperation.
Achanceforresolvingtheformationofademocraticandhumanistic
education,despiteahighdegreeofdifficulty,comesfromthecreation-
withinthesocialmovementforrenewal-ofaneducationalmovementas
wellasthepromotionofthecauseofeducationwithinthesphereandstan-
dardsofscience,togetherwithpolitics,administrationandstraightforward
upbringing.
Theconditionsfortherealconstructionofsuchamovementaredueto
theobjectiveexistenceofdemocraticandhumanisticideasandtraditions
withinPolishscienceandhistory,thestrongpressurefromtheeducational
environment,creatingandarticulatingtheneedforaneweducatian.Finally
theexistence,inspiteofall,offlwiseandnobleinverts”withineveryeduca-
tionalsubject,beingabletoinitiatesuchactivities,andavastflconstitutional
reserve”whichifusedwithdeterminationcanprofitthecauseofeducation
andactasajuridicalguaranteeoftransformationswithineducation.

Whatfundamentallynewconditionsareconstitutedbythesocial
movementinPoland,launchedinAugust’80?Canweactuallyobservethe
rudimentsofeducationalrenewal,arousedbysystemchangessurrounding
educationandindirectlyinfluencingtheprocessesofupbringingandso-
cialization?
TheessentialreasonforthesocialupheavalinPoland(fromAugust’80)
wasabreak-throughofthesocial“peacethreshold”,aneffectofanaccumu-
lationofincreasingdivergenciesbetween:
1)sociallyacceptedpatternsofpoliticalparticipatianandexpression,
andalanglastingimplementationofthemodelofmonopolisticandauthori-
tarianstate;
2)valuesatoncerecognizedbythesocietyandimplementedinthissociety;
3)socialexpectationsconcerningthequalityandthewayoflife,andthe
possibilityofmeetingthem.
