ofresearchobjectiveswouldnotbepossiblewithoutthecollectionofextensive

databases.Therefore,animportantpartofthestudywasthedevelopmentof

softwareforwebdataextraction,whichwasusedtogatherlargedatasets(both

intermofthevarietyofcommoditiesandnumberofcollectedobservations)

particularlyfittedtotheneedsoftheresearch.Thedevelopedsoftwarefor

automaticdatacollectionfromtheInternetsitesisversatileandcanbeused

inthefutureforfurtherdatacollectionontheanalysedgoods(afterupdating),

aswellasforcollectingdataonothergoods(aftertheadaptationofthecode).

Thismonographprovidesthereportfromexecutedresearchandpresentschosen

resultsandoutcomesofperformedanalyses.Thefirstchaptersystematizesthe

informationonhedonicmodellingandtheapplicationofhedonicmethodsinthe

constructionofquality-adjustedpriceindexes.Thepossibleareasofapplication

ofhedonicregressionareindicated,andvariousmethodsofhedonicpriceindices

creationaredescribedindetail.Thepresentationofdevelopedsoftwarefor

dataextractionandinfrastructurefordataanalysisisgiven.Resultingfromthe

processofdatacollectiondatabasesarelistedanddescribed.Thechapterends

withmethodologicalnotes.Thefollowingfourchapterspresenttheresultsofthe

undertakenattemptstoapplyhedonicmodellingtothedataforvariousgroups

ofheterogeneouscommodities,andcreatequality-adjustedhedonicindices.

Theempiricalresearchhasbeenconductedforfourgroupsofheterogeneous

commodities:ICT/ITgoodsandconsumerelectronics,householdappliances,

apartmentsinchosenPolishcities,aswellasusedautomobiles.

Thegoaloftheresearchwastoconductuniqueintermsofbothscopeand

scaleempiricalresearchregardingtheapplicationofhedonicmodelsin

implementingqualityadjustmentsinpriceindicesconstructedforvarious

groupsofcommodities.Thepresentedmethodsandcollecteddatabases

allowedtoexecuteextensiveanalysesandtestvarioushedonicapproaches,

whichresultedinobtaininginformationonapplicabilityconditionsand

limitationsofhedonicmethods,aswellasnewknowledgeonpricedynamics

onselectedPolishmarketsofheterogeneousgroupsofgoodsintheperiod

fromthesecondquarterof2014tillthethirdquarterof2016.
