healthclinics,post-offices,banks,libraries,etc.(Kaczmarek,Stasiak,

Włodarczyk2010,p.55-56).

Apartfromthetouristassetsandinfrastructure,thetourist

attractivenessofagivenlocalitydependsonitsaccessibility.Itcanbe

dividedintooutsideandinsideaccessibility.Theformeroneistheexisting

networkoftransportconnectionsbetweenthetourist3shomeandhis/her

traveldestination(motorways,dualcarriageways,railway,flightandferry

connections,etc.).Theinsideaccessibilityisasystemoftransport

connections,touristtrails,bicyclepaths,localrailwaysandroads,which

enablethetouristtotraveltodifferentplaceswithinthevisitedarea.The

networkissupplementedwithalltypesofstops,parkinglotsorpetrol

stations(Kaczmarek,Stasiak,Włodarczyk2010,p.56).

Thetourismphenomenonisclassifiedinmanyways,basedon

differentcriteria,suchasthelengthofstay,tourists3age,thetypeof

accommodation,meansoftransport,organizationoftravel,etc.Amajor

tourismtypologyistheonebasedonthepurposeoftravel.Consideringthe

topicofthisbook,thistypologyissignificant,becauseitincludesurban

tourism,i.e.onethatoccursincities.Italsodistinguishescultural,

sightseeing,event,orfestivaltourism,whichoftendevelopinurbanareasas

well.Themaintypesoftourismincludethefollowing:
