40.1YahwehspoketoMoses,saying,40.2“Onthefirstdayofthefirst
monthyoushallraiseupthetabernacleoftheTentofMeeting.40.3You
shallputthearkofthetestimonyinit,andyoushallscreentheark
withtheveil.40.4Youshallbringinthetable,andsetinorderthethings
thatareonit.Youshallbringinthelampstand,andlightitslamps.40.5
Youshallsetthegoldenaltarforincensebeforethearkofthe
testimony,andputthescreenofthedoortothetabernacle.
40.6“Youshallsetthealtarofburntofferingbeforethedoorofthe
tabernacleoftheTentofMeeting.40.7Youshallsetthebasinbetween
theTentofMeetingandthealtar,andshallputwatertherein.40.8You
shallsetupthecourtaroundit,andhangupthescreenofthegate
ofthecourt.
40.9“Youshalltaketheanointingoil,andanointthetabernacle,andall
thatisinit,andshallmakeitholy,andallitsfurniture:anditwill
beholy.40.10Youshallanointthealtarofburntoffering,withallits
vessels,andsanctifythealtar:andthealtarwillbemostholy.40.11You
shallanointthebasinanditsbase,andsanctifyit.
40.12“YoushallbringAaronandhissonstothedooroftheTent
ofMeeting,andshallwashthemwithwater.40.13Youshallput
onAarontheholygarments;andyoushallanointhim,andsanctify
him,thathemayministertomeinthepriest’soffice.40.14Youshall
bringhissons,andputcoatsonthem.40.15Youshallanointthem,
asyouanointedtheirfather,thattheymayministertomeinthepriest’s
office.Theiranointingshallbetothemforaneverlastingpriesthood
throughouttheirgenerations.”40.16Mosesdidso.Accordingtoallthat
Yahwehcommandedhim,sohedid.
40.17Inthefirstmonthinthesecondyear,onthefirstdayofthemonth,
thetabernaclewasraisedup.40.18Mosesraisedupthetabernacle,and
laiditssockets,andsetupitsboards,andputinitsbars,andraised
upitspillars.40.19Hespreadthecoveringoverthetent,andputtheroof
ofthetabernacleaboveonit,asYahwehcommandedMoses.40.20
Hetookandputthetestimonyintotheark,andsetthepolesontheark,
andputthemercyseataboveontheark.40.21Hebroughtthearkinto
thetabernacle,andsetuptheveilofthescreen,andscreenedtheark
ofthetestimony,asYahwehcommandedMoses.40.22Heputthetable
intheTentofMeeting,onthesideofthetabernaclenorthward,outside
