Abstract
TecontemporarysystemofinternationalrelationsinEuropeandaroundtheworldisquickly
transformedintheseconddecadeofthe21stcentury.TeEuropeansecuritysystemasthemain
elementofinternationalrelationsinEuropeissubjecttoconsiderablechanges.Teresearch
objectiveofthisworkistoindicatethemainchallengesandthreatsfornationalandinterna-
tionalsecurityinEurope,whichhaverecentlycausedaconsiderabledeteriorationofnational
andinternationalsecurityinEurope(reducedfeelingofsecurityandactual,objectivesecuri-
ty),alsoforPoland,andtopointtotheactionsaimedateliminatingorreducingthechalleng-
esandriskssignificantforEuropeansecurity.Inthiscontext,maintendencieshavebeenout-
linedrelatedtotheEuropeansecuritysystemintheseconddecadeofthe21stcentury,suchas
reducedchancestobuildacooperativesecuritysysteminEurope,intensifyingthearmsrace
(militarisationofforeignpoliciesofmanystates),increasedthreatofIslamicterrorism,over-
lappingcrisesintheEU,strictergeopoliticalrivalryforinfluenceinthepost-Sovietterritories,
weakertendenciestowardsthewesternisationandEuropeanisationofRussia’sforeignpolicy,
increasedtendencytoexaggeratetheroleofGermanyfromtheEUleadertothepositionof
adominantstate,new,unsettlingtendenciesintheforeignpolicyoftheUnitedStatesinthe
firsthalf-yearofDonaldTrump’sadministration.

Systembezpieczeństwamiędzynarodowegojestrdzeniem,najważniejszączęściąsys-
temumiędzynarodowego,którywystępujewposzczególnychpłaszczyznachstosun-
kówmiędzynarodowych(np.politycznych,ekonomicznych,kulturalnychiinnych)1.
