primarilyinphilosophical,psychologicalandpedagogicalaswellassociological
ideas.Teseconceptsrecognizethenatureofmanandanswerthequestionofwho
apersonis,pointinginparticulartosecurityasanaturalneedinaperson’slife

Teideaofeducationforsecurityisexpressedinacomprehensiveapproach
tosecurityissuestransferredtotheproblemofpeacethreatsandalsowaysofbe-
havingindifcultsituationsofadangerousnatureforpeople.
Itcanbeconcludedthateducationforsecurityasanintegralpartofsociety’s
educationisprimarilytheactivityofnotonlyfamily,school,church,massmedia
orstateandlocalgovernmentservicesbutalsoothersocialentities.Teirgoalis
primarilytodevelopnotonlythemanualskillsbutalsointellectualchildren,youth
oradults,tocontrolhazardsandtorestoresafetywhenthereisathreattobeable
tolivesafelyinaconstantlychangingreality.However,thedominantentityin
educationforsafetyisprimarilyafamilyhome.
3.Historyofeducationforsecurity
Teoriginsofeducationforsecuritycanbefoundinantiquity,inSpartan
education,whereinadditiontotrainingagreatwarriorstudentswerealsoinstilled
inrespectandloveforthemotherland,theyalsotaughthistory,beliefsandwar
songs.DefenseeducationinPolandwasdevelopedespeciallyinthe16thcentury,
mainlythroughshapingphysicalfitness,gainingtheskillsofmartialartsprinciples,
strengtheningpatriotismandshapingpersonalitytraits,suchascourage,bravery
anddiscipline.
SignificantdevelopmentinthefieldofeducationforsafetyoccurredaferWorld
WarI,whenonthebasisofwarexperiencegrewabeliefthattoachievevictory,
oneshouldnothaveonlyafunctioningarmy,butalsothehelpofthesocietyitself
isrequired.Tiswasthereasonfortheintroductionofeducationalactivitiesthat
overtheyearstookondiferentnamesandforms.
Educationforsafetypreparestocounteractsecuritythreats,itisnotonlyape-
dagogicaldisciplinebutalsoaneducationalpractice,whichaimstolearnvaluable
lifeandsocialskills.Ofentheconceptofeducationforsafetyisusedinterchangeably
