choosinganotherprofessionrequiringuniversitystudies,theyratherapplyto
otherhighereducationinstitutions,oreveniftheystillwanttobecometeachers,
theychoosemoreprestigiousupperprimaryschoolteachertrainingcolleges.
Formsofeducation
Likeotherhighereducationinstitutions,startingfromthe2006/2007academic
year,GálFerencCollegeacceptsstudentstotheBAcoursesofthetwo-part
uniformtrainingsystem,butfromthattimeonwards,nationalminorities
educationdoesnotappearontheofferasaseparatecourseofstudiesdueto
alownumberofcandidates,butasaspecializationofBSctraining.Sincethe
2007/2008academicyear,thereistheRomaspecializationintheeducational
offer,whereassincethe2010/2011academicyear,thereisalsotheGerman
specializationintheofferofboththebasiccoursesinSzarvas.
Ourcoursesareconductedinaccordancewiththequalificationrequire-
mentsstipulatedatthecentrallevel.Itshouldbenotedthatinadditionto
full-timeandusualcorrespondencecourses,wehaveinitiatedadditionaltrain-
inganddifferenttypesofnewpostgraduatestudies.Atourcollege,bothlow
primaryandupperprimaryschoolteachersmaypursueadegreeinkindergarten
teaching,ofcoursetakingashorterperiodoftime.Theotherfactorsthatmake
oureducationaloffersignificantlyvaried,arethefollowing:thestudentswho
didnotattendnationalminoritieshighschoolsenrolonourprograms,both
full-timeandcorrespondent.Moreover,thereareteacherswhohavenotgradu-
atedfromafull-timeprogramsofteachingtonationalminorities,yetenrolto
