articleauthorswanttoshowthediversityofhealthdefinitionsandcomparetwo
ofthemostknownperspectivesinsociologicaldebate.Firstperspectivetreats
healthasaspecialkindofanindividualcapital,thesecondasasocialvalue.
Temaingoalofthispaperistoshowthatincontemporaryhealtheducation
providedtopostmodernsocietiestherstperspectiveisthemostefficientone.
Inthefollowingparagraphsbothperspectiveswillbeshortlypresented.In
theendofthearticletheauthorswillsuggesttheessentialchangesrequiredto
improvehealtheducationandpromotion.
Accordingtosociologicalapproachhealthisdefinedasrelativelypersistent
resourcesofattributes,andstrivingforhealthembracesmanyactivities,both
consuming(e.g.buyingmedicalservices,"healthconsumption”)andinvesting
ones(e.g.increasinghealth,forinstancebydietsupplements).Whengettingold
thepersonloosestheamount(thecapital)ofhealth,buthe/shecanmakeap-
propriateefforts(costs)torenew,regenerateandevenincreasehealth.Itisreally
importanttoteachpeoplehowtoincreasethecapitalofhealth,especiallythose
whogotill.
