Abstract:Historical-pedagogicalresearchiscarriedoutinPolishuniversities,acade-
mies,andhighervocationalschools.Thearticledefinesresearchcentersasthosethat
practicehistorical-pedagogicalresearchatstateandnon-publicuniversitiesinPoland.
Thestudyincludedthoseuniversitiesthatparticipatedinthe2017-2021evaluationof
thescientificdisciplineofpedagogyandconductedpedagogicalstudies,including
thedidacticsubjectofthehistoryofeducationandupbringing(thattakesdiferent
names)andscientificactivitiesinthementionedarea.Ithasbeenestablishedthat
itisnotpossibletoindicateaclearareaofthementionedscientificresearchexclu
-
sivelyforacertainuniversity.However,itispossibletoassumeandenumerateleading
topicscoveringaspecificissueortimeperiod.Theanalysisofsourcematerialsallows
ustoconcludethat,ofthe41scientificcenters,only14haveindependentscientific
unitsinname,referringtothenatureofhistorical-pedagogicalresearch.Thisnum-
berincludedsevenchairs,fivedepartmentsandtwostudios,twoofwhichexistin
academies,theothersinuniversitycenters.Itshouldbeaddedthateightuniversities
ceasedtohaveindependentunitsspecializinginresearchinthehistoryofeduca-
tionandupbringing,andtheiremployees-historiansofupbringing-wereassigned
toinstitutes,departments,anddepartmentstudioswithdiverseresearchproblems
inthesocialsciencesandhumanities.
