Educationisoneofthebasicsocialfunctionsandantropics(itishowhumans
dińerfromanimals).
Itcouldbeunderstoodas:
−
formationofpersonalityofahumanasasocialbeingcapableofself-reali-
zation;
−
socializationinasenseofacquiringsocialdirectionsandpreparationfor
carryingoutsocialroles;
−
enculturation-introducingapersonasanindividualintotheculture,
whichistheindicationofhumansocietyassuchandthebasiccharacteristicof
individualglobalsocieties.
Educationisacomplexprocesswithtwogeneraltypes:
−
functionalinfluence-theinfluenceofsocialenvironment,,unintentional,
primaryfortheformationofapersonality;
−
intentionalinfluence-deliberate,educationinthenarrowsense,indevel-
opedsocietiesthecoreofeducation.
Educationcanbedividedintermsofthecontent:
−
care,whichshouldbeunderstoodasthenegotiationofconditions(social
andmental)fortheperformanceandself-realizationofanindividualandforthe
carryingoutofhis/hersocialroles;
−
education(initsnarrowsense)aslearningsocialroles;
−
educationasatransferandadoptionofknowledge,skillsandhabitsneces-
saryfortheperformanceofsocialfunctions.
Andragogycanbedividedintermsofoperationalisationintothefollowing
areas:
−
education(andragogyinitsnarrowsense),whichcouldbefurtherdivided
intoacademic(universityeducation,postgraduateeducation,distancelearning),
institutionalordepartmentaltraining(banking,departmentofinterior)andout-
of-schooleducation(courses,lectures,etc.);
−
educationinthesenseofpoliticaleducation,propaganda,healtheducation,
citizenshipeducation,physicaleducation,reeducationofdelinquents,prevention
ofsocialpathologies,culturaleducation,militaryeducation);
−
care,(culturallyeducationalcare,librarianship,occupationalcare,Human
Resources,socialcareincludinggerontologicalcare,entertainment,recreation,
freetimeactivitiesandself-realization);
−
functionalinfluences-massmedia,educationalworkofdiverseorganiza-
tionsandinstitutions.
