Basedonthesepreliminaryfindings,thethreeconferencesthat
stemmedfromtheprojectsweredevotedtoareaswherethetechno-
logicalandthesocialintertwineintoday’sworld,namely,selfhood,
work,andthealectivedimensionofourlife.Ineachcase,weasked
whatdothevariousinterconnectionsintroducedbydigitaltechnol-
ogiesmeanforthegivenproblemandhowthesocialandthetech-
nologicalwillcontinuetoshapeeachotherinthefuture.
Inparticular,duringthefirstconference,TeSelfandDigitalIden-
tityintheEraof“NetworkedSociety”,whichwasheldinOctober2018,
weaskedaboutthechangestoourselfhoodandsubjectivitybrought
aboutbynewtechnologies.Testartingpointoftheconferencewas
onceagainasimpleintuition:thereisajustifiedanalogybetweenthe
emergenceoftheeraofalphabeticalwritingdiscretisingspeechflows
andtheadventoftheageofdigitalmediadiscretisingaudiovisual
timeobjects(pictures).Anetworkedsocietyisinthisperspective
asocietyinwhichindividuals(people)arepermanentlyconnected
witheveryone,formingatwo-waynetworkallowingeachperson
totakeupthepositionbothofthesenderandthereceiver.Insuch
anetworkoneureceives”inproportiontowhatoneutransmits”,that
is,onepublicizesone’sreception,whichinturnbecomesone’s
creation.Wishingtorethinktheelectsofsuchnetworkingonsub-
jectivity,wegatheredanumberofscholarswhoworkedinvarious
perspectivesanddisciplinesfromMartinHeideggerandWalter
BenjamintoBrunoLatour,MichelFoucault,andBernardStiegler;
fromphilosophyandsociologytofilm,animal,andgamestudies.

Duringthesecondinstallmentofourseries,TeFutureofWork
inthePostdigitalAge,heldinMay2019,weaskedabouthowwork
andleisurehavechangedalongwiththeso-called4thIndustrial
Revolution.Testartingpointoftheconferencewasawidelyac-
knowledgedfactthatworkhasundergoneprofoundchangessince
theintroductionofdigitaltechnologies,whichcoincidedwiththe
