pauseandtheirnumberbothincaseofvowels,consonantsandvowelsand
consonants,wereobservedinthegroupsdiscussed.Temostofenblocked,
soprototypical(withouttherecognitionofsignificantdiferences),areparallel
vowelsandconsonantsintheinitialsoundwiththebiggestindexofthemiddle
groupB(N=24,38.1%).
3.Researchpointedtotheneedofqualifyingsoundsfortheclonusblockingcat-
egory,whichhasnotbeenindetailobservedinpreviousresearch.Itshouldbe
diferentiatetonussoundblockingwithitsclonusblockingbecauseoftheoccur-
rence,inthesecondcase,socalledsemi-voweljustafertheconsonant,which
functionsasanincompletesyllable(consonantplussemi-vowel).Comparing
thefrequencyofthisclonusblockingcategoryoccurrenceonthesoundlevel,
withregardtoitskind(vowel,consonantalongwithparallelvowelandcon-
sonant),placeandnumberofrepetitions-thelackofsignificantdiferences
betweenparticularagegroupscanbeseen.Tebiggestindexinthissubcat-
egoryispresentedbygroupA(N=18,37.5%)withexplosiveconsonant,and
thisgroupwouldbeprototypicalincomparisonwithotheroneswhichalso
presentsimilarresults.
