tothestressteachersexperienceintheirjobs;however,theyemphasisethat
stressdoesnotnecessarilyleadtoburnout:

Inmoredetail,burnoutcanbeconceptualisedasathree-component
phenomenon(Chan,2006:1043):

Suchanunderstandingofburnoutanditssymptomsdemonstratesthatitis
verymuchanidiosyncraticphenomenonandnoteveryteacherwillbeprone
toexperiencingitinthecourseofhis/hercareer.However,awarenessofits
symptomsmayconstituteapreventivemeasureagainstitsonsetoroccurrence.
Also,asdiscussedearlier,positiveteachermotivation,seenasamajordriving
forceandadeterminationtoachieveestablishedgoalswillactasaforcedecreasing
theprobabilityofteacherfailureandthatwhichresultsfromrepeatedinstances
ofit,burnout.

motivatedishis/herenthusiasminteaching,whichofentriggerstheenthusiasm
oflearners-asteachingandlearningareinteractiveprocesses,requiring
personalinvestmentandcommitment.AsDörnyei(2001:180)aptlyputsit:
