ingorientedatsupportingthereflectivityofthestudents.Itaspirestoencourage
students’criticalself-reflectionconcerningtheirownprofessionalandacademic
development.Withthehelpofthesuitablydesignedactivitieswhichaccompany
thetextbook’sreasoninginitsexpositorycharacter,weattempttoreleasestudents
fromthedogmaticthinkingwhichformsasignificantobstaclebothtointroducing
novelsolutionsintotheteachingprocessandfromtheinformedplanningofthe
professionaldevelopmentandcareeroffutureteachers.
Initsconceptualdimension,thesubjectmatterpresentedinourvolumeisrelated
tothecontemporaryCommonEuropeanFrameworkofReferenceforLanguages
(CEFR2011,CEFR-CV2018)andtheconstructivist-orientedactivityapproachto
thelearningandteachingofforeignlanguageswhichitpromotes.Tetheoretical,
curriculum-relatedandmethodologicalreflectionscontainedinthisbook,aswell
astheactivitieswhichintegratethemintothepracticeofteaching,drawdirectlyon
thisapproach.
Inthecontextofteachingphilosophy,werepresentthetrendofhumanisticpedagogy
andthepedagogicalwell-beingdevelopedwithinitsframeworkandfrequently
referredtoasCpositiveeducation’(Merceretal.2018,Gębal2018,MacIntyreetal.,
2019;Merceretal.,2019).Tisorientation,connectedwithpositivepsychology,
assumesteachersandlearnerswillshaperelationshipswhichwillrelyontheirstrong
points,theirbeliefintheirowncapabilities,andtheirreadinesstoundertakeaction
andassumeautonomousresponsibilityfortheirdevelopmentandwell-being.Bythe
sametoken,theprocessoflearningandteachingalanguageacquiresapsycho-social
orientationwithinwhichthelinguisticabilitiesdevelopedaresupplementedby
awholesetofothersofskills,whichareusefulineverydaylifeandcommunication
withotherswhilesupportinglifelong,conscious,personal,socialandcultural
development(educationforlife).Teteachingstrategieswhichfostersuchan
educationalprocessturnitintoaspecificactofartisticcreationduetoitsunique
andsingularcharacter.Teteacherswhoarepreparedtodiscoverandintroducethis
intheirdailyworkarepeoplewhoareawareoftheirprofessionalcompetencesand
thevalueoftheirpersonalities.
Teinnovativenessofthemonographwhichweentrusttothereadersisalsoman-
ifestedinitsinteractivecharacter.Tisconsistsinthemannerinwhichindividual
chaptersreferStudentsandInstructorstothematerialsavailableontheInternet,in
