efforts.Thelevelofman’sphysicalactivityfrequentlydeterminedhislife
anddeath.Organismsthatcouldaccumulateadiposetissuewerepreferred
bynatureintheprocessofevolution.Itsreservesprotectedagainstcold
andallowedmantosurviveintheconditionswherehecouldnotmanage
togainfood.
Thedynamicdevelopmentofmechanizationandautomationinthe20th
centurycausedmanyeverydayactivitiestobeperformedbymachines.
Thattookplacenotonlyathome,butalsoatwork.Accumulatingadipose
tissuebytheorganismbecameunnecessary,evenundesirable,andfitness
wasnotthebasicfactorinfluencinglifeandthelevelofitThesechanges
causedmoreandmorepeopletoleedsedentarylifestyles.
Weoftenforgetthatmovementisinseparablyinscribedinhumanlife.
Aristotle’swordsHMovementislife”arestillfeasible.
Humanorganism,formedandaccustomedtophysicaleffortfor
thousandsofyears,isunabletofunctionproperlywithoutmovement.Lack
ofitleadstonumerousdiseasescalledcivilizationdiseases.
WhatDrWojciechOczko–oneofco-formersofPolishmedicinesaid
seemstobeveryapthere:...„movementcanreplacealmostanymedicine,
butallthemedicinestakentogetherwillnotreplacemovement”.This
sayingisnotverypopularinPoland.Itisprovenbythestillpersistent
tendencyamongPolestotakemuchmoremedicinescomparedtothe
inhabitantsofotherEuropeanUnionstates.In2007Polandfounditself
inthedisgracefulthirdplaceastotheamountofmedicinesbought.Only
ItalyandFrancewerebeforeus.

Weshouldalsopayattentiontothepoortraditionofmovinginour
countryandpoorunderstandingoftheconnectionbetweenphysicaland
spiritualsideofhumanpersonality.
Theeconomicalfactorsandinappropriateorganizationofdutiesmake
usconstantlytakethelastplacesamongtheEuropeanCommunitystates
astodoingmasssports.
Alltheseproblemsmakeus,animatorsofsportsclasses,facenew
challenges.Ourworkcannotbelimitedexclusivelytoconducting
