25.1YahwehsaidtoMosesinMountSinai,25.2“Speaktothechildren
ofIsrael,andtellthem,‘WhenyoucomeintothelandwhichIgive
you,thenthelandshallkeepaSabbathtoYahweh.25.3Youshallsow
yourfieldsixyears,andyoushallpruneyourvineyardsixyears,and
gatherinitsfruits;25.4butintheseventhyearthereshallbeaSabbath
ofsolemnrestfortheland,aSabbathtoYahweh.Youshallnotsow
yourfieldorpruneyourvineyard.25.5Whatgrowsofitselfinyour
harvestyoushallnotreap,andyoushallnotgatherthegrapesofyour
undressedvine.Itshallbeayearofsolemnrestfortheland.25.6The
Sabbathofthelandshallbeforfoodforyou;foryourself,foryour
servant,foryourmaid,foryourhiredservant,andforyourstranger,
wholivesasaforeignerwithyou.25.7Foryourlivestockalso,andfor
theanimalsthatareinyourland,shallallitsincreasebeforfood.
25.8“‘YoushallcountoffsevenSabbathsofyears,seventimesseven
years;andthereshallbetoyouthedaysofsevenSabbathsofyears,
evenforty-nineyears.25.9Thenyoushallsoundtheloudtrumpetonthe
tenthdayoftheseventhmonth.OntheDayofAtonementyoushall
soundthetrumpetthroughoutallyourland.25.10Youshallmakethe
fiftiethyearholy,andproclaimlibertythroughoutthelandtoallits
inhabitants.Itshallbeajubileetoyou;andeachofyoushallreturn
tohisownproperty,andeachofyoushallreturntohisfamily.25.11
Thatfiftiethyearshallbeajubileetoyou.Inityoushallnotsow,
neitherreapthatwhichgrowsofitself,norgatherfromtheundressed
vines.25.12Foritisajubilee;itshallbeholytoyou.Youshalleatofits
increaseoutofthefield.
25.13“‘InthisYearofJubileeeachofyoushallreturntohisproperty.
25.14“‘Ifyousellanythingtoyourneighbor,orbuyfromyourneighbor,
youshallnotwrongoneanother.25.15Accordingtothenumberofyears
aftertheJubileeyoushallbuyfromyourneighbor.Accordingtothe
numberofyearsofthecropsheshallselltoyou.25.16Accordingtothe
lengthoftheyearsyoushallincreaseitsprice,andaccordingtothe
shortnessoftheyearsyoushalldiminishitsprice;forheissellingthe
numberofthecropstoyou.25.17Youshallnotwrongoneanother;but
youshallfearyourGod:forIamYahwehyourGod.
25.18“‘Thereforeyoushalldomystatutes,andkeepmyordinancesand
dothem;andyoushalldwellinthelandinsafety.25.19Thelandshall
