Whatisinterestinginthatstudyisthatthelevelofco-existenceofthose
archetypalrolesdifferentiatesthoseorganizations,whicharebetterperformers
intheareaofrenewalandgrowth.Itcanbeveryeasilyseenattheinterpersonal
level,whenkeyindividualsrepresentingdifferenttriumviraterolesarenotableto
co-operateefficiently,stimulatingsustainabledevelopmentoftheirorganization.
AccordingtoKernberg[1976,p.422],“topexecutivesmaycreatesharedfantasies
thatunderlieadominantorganizationaladaptivestyle”.Theseunconsciousfantasies
maybeassociatedwiththewishforpower,idealization,order,security,domination,
andcanbeusedaskindofdefenseprotectingsomeemployeesfromcertaintypesof
anxieties[Czander1993].
Theoristssuggestthatorganizationsmovethroughpredictablestagesofgrowth
overtime,andcertaineventscanoccur,andimpededevelopmentorprecipitate
areturntoanearlystageoffunctioning.Organizationslikeindividualshavethe
capacitytoremainfixatedataparticularstageofgrowth.Thisismostapparent
whenanorganizationundergoesachange.Whenanxietyoccurs,employeesmay
consciouslyorunconsciouslyregresstoanearlierstageofdevelopment.Therefore,
superiors(entrepreneur,leader,manager)playsoimportantrolesintheprocessof
changeorrenewal.
5.Conclusions
Ourconsiderationsstressthesignificanceofdifferences,whichresultfromthe
archetypesofexecutiverolesrepresentedbykeypeoplefortheenterprise,especially
duringtheprocessesofstrategicrenewalandgrowth.Thesurvivalanddevelopment
ofanorganizationdependsontheproperintensityofeachofthem,eventhough
eachofthemaimsatitdifferently.Entrepreneurialroleisresponsibleforcompany’s
abilitytoredefinetheessenceofitsbusiness,toseizeappearingopportunities,or
avoidthreats.Leadershiprolecontributestousingthepotentialofemployeesinthe
necessaryprocessesofchanges,theirhighmotivationandcommitment.Amanagerial
roleallowsforensuringoperationalefficiency,notlessimportantatsuchtimes,and
toordertheorganizationalmodelemergingfromtheundergoingtransformation,
inordertoincreasesynergyandlowerthetransactionalcoststoalevelallowing
forafurthereffectivedevelopment.Thoseroles,however,arenotperformedin
aseparateway,inthepsycheofindividuals.Asfarasitdoesnotseempossiblefor
onepersontoperformalltherolesatonce,differentconfigurationsofatleasttwoof
themcanbefoundinthecaseofavastmajorityofexecutivestaff.
Becausetherolesaredifferent,andoftendifficulttocombine,itisthechallenge
formanagementtheorytounderstandandpresentwaysoftheireffectiveco-
existence,bothatanindividualandmanagementteamslevel.Inthisarea,wecan
noticeahighpracticalvalueofcombiningtheoryofmanagementwithpsychology.
