Relyingonthemethodologicalguidelinesdescribedinsub-chapter2.5with

regardtomethodsforthemeasurementofintra-industrytradeandtakingaccount

ofthescopeandobjectivesoftheanalysisconducted,thestudyofintra-industry

competitiveness(Chapters4and5)wascarriedoutbasedonIITandGHMindi-

cescalculatedonthebasisofdataregardingthevalueandvolumeofexportsand

importsatthelevelof6-digitCNcodes.Itcorrespondstothetheoreticalnotionofan

industryandsatisﬁestheconditionthatonlythedeepestpossibledisaggregationof

dataensurescomparabilityofthesameproductsandcanestablishtheactualdegree

ofmatchingexportsandimports,i.e.thereallevelofintra-industrytradeintensity.

AdvancedMicrosofOfceEXCELformulaswereusedforthecomputationof

IITandGHMindices.Teresearchmethodsandtechniquesnecessarytoappropri-

atedataprocessinghavebeendevelopedinthecourseoftheauthor’sprofessional

andscholarlyexperiencegainedintheimplementationofanalyticalprojects,in
