Researchintonewlyindustrializedareaswasbasedonthethesisthataprogram

forruralsociety(especiallyagriculturalsocietyandagriculture)canonlybeformu-

latedrationallyoncethedevelopmentinterdependenciesbetweenindustryandag-

riculturearediscerned,especiallyinfinancialterms.Hepresentedtheseissuesin

publicationssuchasPeasantfamilyandagriculturalholding.Thankstohisscientific

achievements,hewasappointedtheChairmanoftheCommitteefortheStudyof

IndustrializedRegionsofthePolishAcademyofSciences.HeestablishedtheCom-
